FREDONIA, NY--The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) recognized eight Buffalo State athletes on the 2010 Indoor Track & Field All-Conference teams today, and announced top honors for #Latoya Edwards# (Brooklyn/Clara Barton) and Buffalo State coach Eugene Lewis.

Buffalo State’s #Jake Simmons# (Rochester/School for the Arts) and #Staci McElroy# (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) were named the men’s and women’s basketball State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Rookies of the Year respectively. Simmons and McElroy along with senior #Antonio Samedi# (St. Albans/Queens Vocational) were also all named to All-SUNYAC honorable mention.

Jessica Walker
Women's Track and Field
The sophomore forensic chemistry major earned the honor for the second-consecutive week.  Walker bettered her own school record in the triple jump, finishing ninth (11.66m) at the Division I Virginia Tech Final Qualifier on Saturday.  Walker will be one of three Bengals representing Buffalo State at this weekend's Division III NCAA Championships at DePauw University.
