Policies

Athletic Training/Rehab Room Policies 

1.     Shower before treatments. 

2.     Appropriate attire for a coed facility should be worn in the training/rehab rooms at all times. 

3.     Do not take any equipment out of the training/rehab rooms unless it is issued to you by athletic training staff. 

4.     All ace wraps are to be returned to the athletic training room after practices and games. 

5.     All medical equipment issued by athletic training staff should be returned to the athletic training/rehab rooms as soon as you no longer need them. Failure to return items will result in a Bursar hold. 

6.     Do not use any equipment in the training/rehab rooms. Request assistance from a staff member. 

7.     No cleats or skates allowed in the training/rehab rooms. 

8.     The refrigerators are off limits to all athletes. The freezer will contain ice cups available to all athletes. 

9.     Do not help yourself to training supplies. When taking ice from the ice machine, please use the scoop and sign in. Do not put your hands in the bin. 

10.     When using a water cooler for practice, do not take the lid off and put your hands or drinking cups into the cooler. The coolers will be signed out by a athletic training room staff member and is to be returned immediately following practice. 

11.     Smokeless tobacco is prohibited in the athletic training room, on the playing field, or in the locker rooms. 

12.     No profanity in the athletic training/rehab rooms. 

13.     We comply with all State and Federal regulations regarding medical waste. We will provide clearly labeled containers that are solely for the disposal of medical waste in the training room. Gauze, gloves, bandages, etc, that have come in contact with blood or body fluids must be discarded in an appropriate container. 

14.      The dispencing of over-the-counter medication will only be at the recommendation of a physician.

Ice Machine in Laundry Room 
There is an ice machine located in the laundry room near the racquetball courts to allow student-athletes to get ice after returning from road trips or during early morning practices. All coaches will have access to the room and are the only people allowed to enter the room. Student-athletes may not enter the room.
