1959-1963 

-Richard broke all Freshman basketball records his first year at Buffalo State, including Most Points in a Single Game (50).
 
-He played three years of varsity basketball averaging 16.0ppg, 15.7ppg, and 22.0ppg. 

-Richard also scored 1263 career points to enter the 1000 Point Club.
 
-Banaszak played two years of varsity soccer, and became co-holder of the Most Goals in a Single Game (4).
