-Timothy was a three year varsity letter winner in cross country, indoor and outdoor track.

-He was an All American in 1961 and 1962 for cross country.

-He captained both indoor and outdoor track teams all three years, as well as the cross country team in 1962.

-Burns was an All American for outdoor track in 1963.
