Allen helped set three new Buffalo State records competing at the DI Boston University Valentine Invitational. The sophomore placed third in the 400-meter dash with an automatic NCAA qualifying time of 47.64 seconds, posting the second fastest DIII time in the country this season. He added a school record placing fourth in the 200-meter dash (21.63), and also teamed up with Devyn Hollenbeck, B.J. Murray and Jimmy Campbell to break a 31-year old Buffalo State record with an NCAA provisional time of 3:17.91.
