Parente was named the SUNYAC Championship MVP, after helping the Bengals capture their first-ever conference title this weekend. The junior elementary education pounded out 16 kills with a .316 hitting percentage on Sunday, a four-set victory over top-seeded host New Paltz. She added 13 kills as the Bengals rolled past Cortland in straight sets in Saturday's semifinal match.
