Ezike, a sociology major, won the NCAA Division III title in the triple jump on Saturday, posting the winning mark of 15.07 meters on his first attempt.  Also a wide receiver on the Bengals' football team, Ezike transferred this fall from Division I University of Rhode Island after competing for three seasons with the Rams' indoor track and field team and two years with their outdoor team.  Buffalo State's most recent national titles in men's track and field came in 2011 when Xavier Mateen and Justin Allen won the 55 and 400-meter dashes respectively.  This is the second time a Bengal has won the triple jump with the previous title coming at the 1982 outdoor meet by James Parker.
