The senior business major made seven saves for his sixth shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over New Paltz in the SUNYAC quarterfinals, backstopping the Bengals to their first postseason victory since 1984. Banahene preserved a 1-0 lead with 13 minutes remaining with a diving stop to his right, deflecting a low shot just outside the post, and Buffalo State added an insurance goal less than a minute later to seal the team’s 11th victory of the year.
