The sophomore exceptional education major, who was honored last week for her four wins in the pitching circle, helped herself at the plate this week. Block hit .588 (10 of 17) with five doubles, two home runs and 11 RBIs as Buffalo State went 3-3 for the week in SUNYAC play. Block hit a grand slam in Saturday's 7-3 win over Geneseo. She also continued to carry the load in the circle, pitching 37 1/3 innings, earning three wins with 45 strikeouts and a 2.63 ERA. Her 127 strikeouts this season are the third highest single-season total in school history, just 11 behind second place.
