Porten was thrust into the starting goalkeeper role after an injury and made seven saves in a 2-0 shutout over Brockport on Saturday, helping the Bengals clinch the right to host their first-ever home SUNYAC playoff game on Oct. 31 against Geneseo.  In three starts this season, the freshman interior design major has two shutouts with a 0.63 goals against average and a .850 save percentage.
