Vene, an elementary special education major, was tremendous in goal over the weekend as women's soccer dropped a pair of hard-fought conference contests on the road. The junior kept the Bengals in both games, stopping an incredible 30 shots in two contests. Vene was at her best in Saturday's overtime loss at New Paltz, with a career-high 23 saves.
