Sawyer, a freshman biology major, had excellent performances in the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles this weekend at the Bison Outdoor Classic, including one of the fastest times in NCAA Division III history in the 400-meter hurdles. The freshman sprinter's time of 58.61 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles is the fastest time in the nation by nearly three seconds and is also the third-fastest time in the event in NCAA Division III history. Sawyer recorded the fastest time in the SUNYAC this season and tied for the fourth-fastest in the nation, in the 100-meter hurdles at 14.03 seconds.
