The freshman swimmer earned the honor for the fourth time this season after capturing All-Conference honors at the SUNYAC Championships last week.  Mergler rewrote the Buffalo State record book as part of four record breaking swims.  She eclipsed the records in three individual events, placing second in the 100 free (53.86), touching third in the 50 free (24.69) and finishing fourth in the 200 free (1:57.15), and she also swam a leg of the school-record breaking 200 medley relay (1:56.10).
