Rivera, a sophomore childhood education major, led the Bengals offense with his first career hat trick against Oswego on Wednesday to help officially clinch the team a postseason berth. His first goal tied the game at 1-1 with the Lakers before his second goal put the team ahead for good just three minutes later. To complete the hat trick, Rivera broke away from a Laker defender and snuck the ball into the back of the net. Rivera currently leads the SUNYAC with 32 points, 14 goals, and 63 shots. His 14 goals are tied for the second most in a single season for a Bengal since at least 2006.
