Curiel, a freshman electrical engineering major, paced the Bengals at the NCAA Niagara Regionals, finishing 30th overall with a time of 26:07. His performance earned him All-Region honors, the first Buffalo State male runner to do so since Alex Ngabo in 2012, and the first from the program overall since Ronni Kordrupel accomplished the feat in 2018.
