Softball player Breanna Fenski (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week for the first time this year helping the Bengals into a second place tie in the SUNYAC with only three conference games remaining.

The freshman mathematics major hit .348 (8-23) for the week with two doubles, two runs and two walks along with four RBI. Fenski had a pair of three-hit games in Buffalo State’s doubleheader sweep over Oswego Saturday including a perfect 3-3 outing in game one. Fenski currently leads the team with three triples and is tied for second on the team with ten extra base hits including five doubles.

The next action for Buffalo State is this Friday as the Bengals will travel to Oneonta for a 3 p.m. SUNYAC matchup.
