Ice Arena
Opened in 1991, the Ice Arena boasts seven locker rooms, a concession area, vending machines, a skate shop with sharpening and rentals, a 200' x 85' ice surface and a seating capacity of 1,800.
The Ice Arena is the home rink for Buffalo State's men's and women's varsity hockey programs. The arena has served as a practice facility for the Buffalo Sabres and the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships. The arena is also home to the Erie County Metro Hockey League and several youth organizations. The arena is also a host site for the Western New York Federation High School Hockey League as well as the Section 6 Girls Hockey Postseason.
The arena provides open skating, skate-n-shoot, and Learn-to-Skate programs, and skate rental to students, faculty and staff as well as the general public.
Facility Fees
Open Skating: $5
Free to Buffalo State students with a valid ID
Skate rental: $3
Skate-n-Shoot: $8 for skaters. Goaltenders are free.
***ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR SKATES, HOCKEY GLOVES, AND A HELMET***
Credit card payments not accepted. Cash only.

$200/50 minutes
* Any organization/individual wishing to rent the ice must provide proof of $1 million insurance rider (see PDF)
