KEUKA, NY—Buffalo State (10-15) dropped Keuka and Cazenovia, but fell to Hamilton today at the Keuka Invite.
Buffalo State defeated host Keuka to open the day in four sets, 25-18, 21-25, 25-22 and 25-21.
Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne/Lakeshore Catholic) led the Bengals with 33 assists and five aces#.
Katelyn Grew# (Lackawanna/Lackawanna) had 11 kills, and
Natalie Gregory (Elma/Iroquois) added 15 digs.
The Bengals fell to Hamilton 20-25, 25-23, 12-25 and 10-25.
Lauren Palisano (Buffalo/Holy Angels) led the Bengals with seven kills.
Buffalo State rebounded with a win over Cazenovia in the final match in straight sets, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-10.
Katie Sember (Buffalo/Kenmore West) led the Bengals' offense with 13 kills, and Ottaviano had 22 assists.
Buffalo State will host the second round of SUNYAC Pool Play later this week, opening against Fredonia on Thursday at 6 p.m.
