BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (10-18/1-7) dropped a pair of four-set matches to Brockport and Oswego on the middle day of the second round of SUNYAC Pool Play tonight at the Sports Arena.

Brockport defeated the Bengals in the opener, 25—19, 25-23, 22-25 and 25-17. Katie Sember (Buffalo/Kenmore West) led the Bengals with 10 kills and five blocks. Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne, ON/Lakeshore Catholic) added 27 assists, and Natalie Gregory (Elma/Iroquois) pitched in seven kills and 12 digs.

Oswego won the late match, 25-23, 25-17, 12-25 and 25-15. Sember paced the offense again with 10 kills. Ottaviano had 26 assists, and Katelyn Grew (Lackawana/Mt. Mercy) had eight kills and six blocks.

Buffalo State will play close out the SUNYAC regular season at home tomorrow with matches against Morrisville State and Geneseo.
