BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (10-7-1/4-5-1) and Geneseo (11-3-1/9-0-1) played 110 minutes of soccer, but couldn't decide things as the game ended in a 1-1 tie today at Coyer Field.
Geneseo scored first when Andy Marzo (Owego/Owego Free Academy) flicked the ball to teammate John Piaggione (East Amherst/Williamsville North) who drilled a shot past the Buffalo State goalkeeper.

Aaron Gollegly (Boston/Kenmore West) evened the score in the 41st minute when he converted a penalty kick after a Geneseo foul, but neither team could find the back of the net for the remainder of the game.
The Blue Knights outshot Buffalo State, 22-9, while the Bengals held a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Dan Corti (Amawalk/Somers) made 10 saves for Buffalo State while Jeremy Reeves (Palmyra/Palmyra-Macedon) stopped four Bengals' shots.
Buffalo State will close out the 2008 campaign Tuesday in Rochester against NAIA-opponent Roberts Wesleyan. Geneseo will conclude its regular season at St. John Fisher on Wednesday.
