PLATTSBURGH, NY—Buffalo State (3-8) split a pair of matches tonight at the Plattsburgh Classic, sweeping Cazenovia, before falling to St. Michael's.
The Bengals raced past Cazenovia in straight-sets in the opening match, 25-16, 25-13 and 25-22.
Natalie Gregory (Elma/Iroquois) had nine kills to pace the Bengals' offense.
Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne, ON/Lakeshore Catholic) had 29 assists, and
Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) added 20 digs.
St. Michael's swept Buffalo State in the nightcap, 25-21, 25-20 and 25-18.
Tanya Brady (Blasdell/Lakeshore) registered 14 kills, and Ottaviano posted 29 assists.
Buffalo State will play host Plattsburgh tomorrow at 11 a.m.
