PLATTSBURGH, NY—Buffalo State (4-9) won one and lost one for the second-straight day at the Plattsburgh Classic, falling in straight sets to the host before rebounding to win a three-set match over Cazenovia.

Plattsburgh bettered Buffalo State, 25-13, 25-22 and 25-19, in the morning match. Katelyn Grew (Lackawanna/Mt. Mercy) led the attack for the Bengals with six kills. Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne/Lakeshore Catholic) had 16 assists, and Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) registered 13 digs.

The Bengals ended the tourney on a high note, however, topping Cazenovia for the second-consecutive day, 25-14, 25-13 and 25-16. Tanya Brady (Blasdell/Lakeshore) had seven kills, and Schaffstall added 10 digs. Natalie Gregory (Elma/Iroquois) was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Buffalo State will travel to Oswego to open SUNYAC Pool Play on Thursday.
