Men's Soccer Loses to Brockport in SUNYAC Opener

BUFFALO, NY—Brockport (3-2/1-0) snapped Buffalo State's (5-2/0-1) four-game winning streak by blanking the Bengals, 3-0, in today's Homecoming Game at Coyer Field.

After a scoreless first half, the Golden Eagles recorded the game-winning goal at the 52:20 mark of the second stanza and added two insurance goals in the 80th minute to seal the victory.

Brockport held an 18-7 advantage in shots and also had 14 corner kick opportunities to Buffalo State's two.

Freshman Ryan Wiehl (Cortland/Cortland) took the loss in goal for the Bengals, finishing with nine saves.

Buffalo State will next host RIT in a non-conference contest on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
