BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (6-13) posted its sixth win of the season, winning in straight sets over visiting Medaille (3-9), 25-14, 25-20 and 25-18, in a non-conference match tonight at the Sports Arena.

Katelyn Grew (Lackawanna/Mt. Mercy) set the tone early for Buffalo State, serving eight straight points in the first set for the Bengals. She finished with three kills, three service aces and eight digs. Katie Sember (Buffalo/Kenmore West) led Buffalo State with seven kills, while Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne, ON/Lakeshore Catholic) chipped in 15 assists and seven digs.

Medaille's Holley McAllister (Rochester/Rush-Henrietta) had nine digs and one service ace and Patty Nellis (Hilton/Hilton) added two aces on nine service attempts and three digs.

The Bengals return to action on Monday when they host D'Youville at 7:30 p.m.
