BUFFALO, NY—Brittany Yocius (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) recorded 34 digs and six aces to lead visiting D'Youville (10-6) to a 3-1 win over Buffalo State (6-14) in a match tonight at the Sports Arena.

Buffalo State won the first set, 25-21, before losing 12-25, 17-25 and 25-27. Lauren Palisano (Buffalo/Holy Angels) led the Bengals with 10 kills, two aces and nine digs. Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne, ON/Lakeshore) recorded 27 assists, while Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) and Natalie Gregory (Elma/Iroquois) added 12 digs each.

Laura Schwach (Rochester/Churchville-Chili) finished with eight kills and six blocks in the win for the Spartans.

Buffalo State will return to the court next week when it travels to Hilbert for a 7 p.m. match on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
