POTSDAM, NY—Buffalo State (2-6) lost two matches to Oswego and St. Lawrence today to close out the North Country Invitational in Potsdam.
Oswego needed four games to dispose of the Bengals in the opening match, winning 25-21, 21-25, 25-23 and 25-23.
Katie Sember (Buffalo/Kenmore West) and
Katelyn Grew (Lackawanna/Mt. Mercy) led Buffalo State with 12 kills, and
Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) had 11 digs.
St. Lawrence swept Buffalo State in the late match, 25-11, 25-19 and 25-20. Sember had eight kills, Shaffstall had six digs, and
Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne, ON/Lakeshore Catholic) had 21 assists.
Buffalo State will open its home schedule on Tuesday when it hosts St. John Fisher at 7 p.m.
