BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (2-7) had its home opener spoiled by St. John Fisher (4-3), falling in straight sets, 25-7, 25-19 and 25-13, tonight at the Sports Arena.

Katie Sember (Buffalo/Kenmore West) led the Bengals' attack with five kills. Katelyn Grew (Lackawanna/Mt. Mercy) added four kills and two blocks. Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne, ON/Lakeshore Catholic) had 13 assists, and Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) chipped 14 digs.

Buffalo State will travel to compete in the Plattsburgh Cardinal Classic this Friday and Saturday.
