BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (4-7/2-2) outscored Plattsburgh (3-9/1-3) 18-3 from 3-point range to pick up its fourth win in five games, 76-65, in a SUNYAC battle this afternoon at the Sports Arena.

James Tyndal (Bronx/Msgr. Scanlon) led the Bengals with 20 points. Jamar Gray (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) poured in 17 points with six rebounds and five assists, and Glenroy Carr (Amherst/Sweet Home) added 13 points off the bench.

Chris Ruiz (Bronx/St. Agnes) paced the Cardinals with 17 points. Errol Daniyan (Coram/Longwood) had 12 points in just 14 minutes before leaving the game with an injury. R.J. Ponesse (Wallkill/Wallkill) added 10 points.

Plattsburgh jumped out to a 10-point lead in the first half, but the Bengals rallied with a 10-2 to close the opening period down just 30-28. Buffalo State took control in the second half, leading by as many as 14 before coasting to the win. The Bengals shot 51-percent from the field for the game.

Buffalo State will next travel to Cortland on Tuesday for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
