MORRISVILLE, NY—Buffalo State (4-15/3-7) used a strong second half to overtake host Morrisville State (2-14/0-10), 70-57, in a SUNYAC game today at the John W. Stewart Center.

Shareese Hamer (Erie, PA/Strong Vincent) led Buffalo State with 16 points and six rebounds. Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster) added 15 points and eight steals, and Divine Sebuharara (Vestal/Vestal) had 12 points.

Morrisville led the Bengals 35-34 at the intermission, but Buffalo State finally took its first lead early in the second half and never trailed again. The Bengals used a 12-2 run down the stretch to pull away to complete the season sweep over the Mustangs. Morrisville shot 44-percent, compared to 33-percent shooting by the Bengals, but Buffalo State forced 29 turnovers and only committed 12.

Buffalo State will return to the road on Tuesday for a meeting with Fredonia at 6 p.m.
