BUFFALO, NY— Buffalo State (5-6-1/1-3-1) held a 13-5 advantage in shots, but Cortland's (3-7-2/2-2-1) Harald Gracholski (Memel,Germany) scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 victory for the visiting Red Dragons in a SUNYAC game today at Coyer Field.
Gracholski one-timed a short pass in the box from Ben Rowell (Syracuse/E. Syracuse-Minoa) in the eighth minute for the only marker of the contest. The Bengals dominated the second half producing numerous scoring chances, but could not get a ball past the Cortland keeper Erik Shum (Carmel/Kennedy), who made seven saves in the shutout.
Brian Dudek (Niskayuna/Cheshire Academy) had two saves in goal for Buffalo State.
Buffalo State will travel to RIT on Tuesday for a non-conference match at 4 p.m.
