BROCKPORT, NY—Senior Steve Fox (Oswego/Oswego) netted his first career goal, but it was not enough as Buffalo State (7-9-1/3-5-1) fell 2-1 at Brockport (9-4-2/7-2), officially eliminating the Bengals from SUNYAC playoff contention.

After the Golden Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute, Fox evened the score in the 36th minute with a pair of assists from Tom Fusillo (Whitesboro/Oriskany) and Steve Orfanos (East Meadow/East Meadow). Brockport netted the lone goal of the second half in the 53rd minute and hung on for the victory, outshooting the Bengals 16-10 for the game. Brian Dudek (Niskayuna/Cheshire Academy) made three saves in the loss.

Buffalo State will close its season on Wednesday against Daemen at Amherst High School at 4 p.m.
