BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (12-9/9-4) shot 50-percent from the field and pulled out a 76-66 victory over visiting Cortland (11-11/8-5) in a SUNYAC game that featured nine lead changes tonight at the Sports Arena.
Jamar Gray (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) led the Bengals with 18 points.
James Tyndal (Bronx/Msgr. Scanlon) added 17 points and four assists, and the team's third senior #A.J. White# (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) had 15 points and seven steals.
Antonio Speed (Buffalo/East) chipped in 11 points.
Carson Niehoff (West Islip/West Islip) paced Cortland with 16 points in 38 minutes. Juan Miolan (Troy/Troy) added 15 points, and Paul Oliver (Phoenix/Phoenix) had 14 points and eight boards.
Cortland led by as many as 10 in the first half, but the Bengals closed the opening period on a 7-0 run and continued the momentum into the second half. Buffalo State finally took the lead for good with 8:24 remaining and scored the final seven points of the game for the 10-point win.
Buffalo State will host New Paltz tomorrow at 4 p.m.
