FREDONIA, NY—Defenseman Kevin Kozlowski (Lockport, NY/Starpoint) had a goal and an assist and Buffalo State (8-10-4/3-6-4) tied Fredonia (4-12-5/2-7-4),3-3, in a SUNYAC battle tonight at Steele Hall. 

Nicholas Petriello (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) opened the scoring for Buffalo State in the first period, but Fredonia evened the score just 1:01 later. After two second-period goals by the Blue Devils, Kozlowski's goal cut the deficit to 3-2 entering the third period.  Jim Durham (Marilla, NY/St. Francis) netted the equalizer with 9:40 remaining in regulation and neither team would score again.

Fredonia outshot Buffalo State, 53-39, in a game that saw just one power play for either team. The Bengals converted on that lone chance.  Alan Fritch (Saginaw, MI/Heritage) made a career-high 50 saves for Buffalo State.

Buffalo State will visit Morrisville State next Saturday at 7 p.m.
