BUFFALO, NY—Steve Orfanos (East Meadow/East Meadow) and Andrew Donner (N. Tonawanda/Niagara-Wheatfield) scored twice each to pace host Buffalo State (1-0) to a 6-0 victory over D'Youville (0-1) in today's non-conference season-opener at Coyer Field.

Brandon Loncar (Kenmore/Kenmore East) and Marikos Habtemichael (Rochester/Wilson Magnet) also scored for the Bengals. Tony Schiappa (Amherst/Williamsville East), Zack Eastman (Lakeview/Lakeshore), Stephen Galante (Tonawanda/Canisius), Phil Pinzone (Buffalo/Kenmore East) and Chris Haney (Williamsville/Williamsville East) all pitched in assists.

Buffalo State dominated the game from the opening whistle, but led only 1-0 at the intermission, before pouring in five goals in the final 33 minutes and 15 seconds. The Bengals outshot the Spartans 43-2 for the contest, and Brian Dudek (Niskayuna/Cheshire Academy) was not called upon to make a single save, earning a shutout in his first collegiate action.

Buffalo State will travel to Baltimore this weekend for the Johns Hopkins Tournament to face the host school on Friday at 5 p.m.
