ERIE, Pa.—Buffalo State (0-1) dropped its season-opening match in straight sets at Penn State Behrend (1-0) tonight, falling 25-13, 25-16 and 25-23.

Bree McMahon (Tonawanda/Sweet Home) led the Bengals with eight kills and 15 digs. Katie Sember (Buffalo/Kenmore West) also had eight kills, and Danielle Aurelio-Clark (Lancaster/Lancaster) added 22 assists.

Buffalo State will open play in the Cortland Red Dragon Classic on Friday.
