Women’s Volleyball Drops Two to Close Out Potsdam Invitational

POTSDAM, NY—Buffalo State (5-5) dropped a pair of matches today in the final day of the Potsdam Invitational, falling to Clarkson in three sets and St. Lawrence in four.

Clarkson snapped the Bengals' four-match winning streak in the opener, winning 29-27, 25-18 and 25-20. Brittany Dorobiala (Lancaster/Lancaster) led Buffalo State with a season-best 25 digs. Danielle Aurelio-Clark (Lancaster/Lancaster) had 24 assists, and Katie Sember (Buffalo/Kenmore West) added seven kills.

St. Lawrence handed the Bengals their second loss of the day, 25-12, 23-25, 25-17 and 25-18. Bree McMahon (Tonawanda/Sweet Home) led Buffalo State with 12 kills, 28 digs and three aces. Vanessa Petote (Spencerport/Aquinas) added 17 assists.

McMahon represented Buffalo State on the All-Tournament Team.

Buffalo State will return to action with another long road trip next Friday when it competes in the opening day of the Plattsburgh Cardinal Classic.
