PLATTSBURGH, NY—Buffalo State (8-6) bounced back after a 3-1 loss to Elmira this morning with a straight-sets win over host Plattsburgh today in the final round of the Cardinal Classic

Elmira bested Buffalo State 25-23, 25-20, 20-25 and 25-12. Bree McMahon (Tonawanda/Sweet Home) anchored the Bengals' defense with 19 digs. Danielle Aurelio-Clark (Lancaster/Lancaster) added 34 assists, and Katie Sember (Kenmore/Kenmore West) had 13 kills.

The Bengals responded in the late match with their second win over Plattsburgh in as many days, winning 25-19, 27-25 and 29-27. McMahon had 20 digs and 11 kills, and Sember also had 11 kills. Aurelio-Clark dished out 37 assists.

Buffalo State will open conference play next weekend with the first round of SUNYAC Pool Play at Brockport.
