NEW PALTZ, NY— #T.O. Jackson# (Bronx/Bronx Regional) netted 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds, but it was not enough as Buffalo State (4-6/2-2) fell at New Paltz (7-5/3-3), 78-65, in a SUNYAC contest today at the Hawk Center.

Jake Simmons (Rochester/School of the Arts) added 19 points, and Norman Simmons (Rochester/East) had 13 points, 10 boards and five assists.

After New Paltz led 33-32 at the intermission, the teams traded the lead back-and-forth early in the second half. Buffalo State led 46-44 midway through the period, but the Hawks used a 14-0 run to pull away. New Paltz outscored the Bengals 27-6 from the free throw line as the Bengals shot just 43-percent (6 of 14) from the charity stripe. New Paltz shot 73-percent (27 of 37) at the line.

Buffalo State will travel to Oneonta tomorrow for another SUNYAC game at 4 p.m.
