KEUKA PARK, NY—Stephanie Kazmierczak (Buffalo/City Honors) paced the Buffalo State (15-18) to a pair of victories at the Keuka College Halloween Invitational today, defeating Morrisville in straight sets and host Keuka, 3-1.

The Bengals overpowered the Mustangs in the first match, winning 25-6, 25-14 and 25-8. Kazmierczak led Buffalo State with 22 assists and four aces. Rachel Algbedo (Yonkers/Yonkers) had nine kills and Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) added nine digs.

In the late match, Buffalo State prevailed in four sets, winning 25-13, 25-19, 21-25 and 25-20. Algbedo had 12 kills, Kazmierczak chipped in 31 assists and three aces, while Moore finished with 17 digs.

Buffalo State is back in action next week when the Bengals will play New Paltz (the No. 2 seed in the east) in the SUNYAC quarterfinals at Fredonia on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m.
