OSWEGO, NY—Andrew Dugan (Schenectady/Colonie) scored his third goal of the season but it wasn't enough to lift Buffalo State (2-8-0/0-4) to victory as the Bengals dropped a close game to Oswego (4-6-1/2-2), losing 2-1 today at Laker Soccer Field.

The Lakers opened up the scoring in the 24th minute, but Buffalo State managed to tie things just before halftime on Dugan's goal from Thomas Winski (Toronto, ON/Dante Alighieri). Oswego scored again at the 58:43 mark and the Bengals were unable to find another equalizer, though they did have an opportunity late in the game, with a shot that went off the crossbar.

Oswego held a slim advantage in shots, 10-9. Brian Dudek (Niskayuna/Cheshire Academy) had two saves for Buffalo State.

Buffalo State plays at Cortland tomorrow at 6 p.m.
