BUFFALO, NY—Oswego (4-1/2-0) had the last advantage in a game that featured 27 lead changes, defeating host Buffalo State (4-1/1-1), 80-73, in overtime in a SUNYAC contest this afternoon at the Sports Arena.
#T.O. Jackson# (Bronx/Bronx Regional) led Buffalo State with 19 points and nine rebounds, but had a shot rattle out at the end of regulation that would have given the Bengals the victory.
Jake Simmons (Rochester/School for the Arts) added 11 points for Buffalo State.
Neither team led by more than four at any point during regulation. Buffalo State was in front 36-35 at halftime, before both teams traded the lead back-and-forth several more times in the second half, ending regulation knotted at 69-69. The Lakers scored the first five points of the extra period and 11-4 overall to post the victory.
Buffalo State will hit the road for a non-conference game on Tuesday at Nazareth at 7 p.m.
