BUFFALO, NY— Brian Beckford (Brooklyn/Christ the King) tallied 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead Oneonta (17-5/10-5) to a 70-64 come-from-behind victory over host Buffalo State (8-12/6-8) in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Sports Arena.

Three other Red Dragons joined Beckford in double-figures, with Michael Grimes (Albany/Catholic Central) and Brian Hooks (Cohoes/Shaker) each scoring 11, and Shane Gillette (Hurley/Kingston) and Kevin Walsh (Middletown/Minisink Valley) adding 10 each.

Junior Glenroy Carr (Amherst/Sweet Home) led Buffalo State with a career-high 22 points and added seven rebounds. Jake Simmons (Rochester/School of the Arts) chipped in 18 points, and #T.O. Jackson# (Bronx/Bronx Regional) had 10 points and four blocks.

Buffalo State led by as many as 12 in the first half, but a late Oneonta used a late 16-3 run to take a one-point lead. The Bengals scored the final six points of the opening period to lead 39-34 at the break. Oneonta quickly turned the tables in the second frame and took the lead for good at 46-44 with 14:11 remaining. The Red Dragons pushed the lead to 10 points in the closing minute coasted to the win. Buffalo State had 11 blocked shots in the game, but hit just 14 of 27 from the charity stripe.

Buffalo State will host New Paltz tomorrow at 4 p.m.
