Buffalo State's men's and women's basketball teams will hit the road for to participate in the SUNYAC quarterfinals on Tuesday night with the men heading to Brockport for a 7 p.m. tipoff and the women traveling to Oneonta for a 6 p.m. game.

The men's team (11-13/9-9) enters the tournament as the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 Brockport (15-10/11-7). Both teams won on the other's home court during the regular season with Brockport winning 74-70 in Buffalo, and the Bengals claiming an 85-80 win at Tuttle North Gymnasium. The Bengals enter the playoffs 3-1 in their last four games including wins against playoff teams New Paltz, Brockport and Cortland. Brockport dropped three-straight games to end the regular season, including a loss at last-place Potdsam.

Jake Simmons (Rochester/School for the Arts) leads the Bengals averaging 17.4 points-per-game. Senior Antonio Samedi (St. Albans/Queens Vocational) is averaging 13.3 points and 7.5 rebounds-per-game, and leads the league with a school record 75 blocked shots.

The women's team (12-13/7-11) is the No. 7 seed and will visit No. 2 Oneonta (16-9/14-4). The Red Dragons swept the season series, winning 57-39 at home, and 56-40 in Buffalo. The Bengals 12 victories are the team's most since going 13-13 in 2003-04. Buffalo State won two of its last three games to clinch a playoff berth, and Oneonta lost its final two regular season games.

Freshman Staci McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) leads the Bengals averaging 12.5 points-per-game and is averaging 7.4 rebounds. Senior Jessica Clark (Fulton/G. Ray Bodley) is chipping in 8.9 points-per-outing and leads the team with 66 assists.

The highest remaining seed on each side will host the SUNYAC Final Four. The semifinals will be Friday and the Championship games will be on Saturday with automatic bids to the NCAA tournament being awarded to the conference champions.
