POTSDAM, NY—Buffalo State (5-4) got back on track with a pair of wins today at the Potsdam Invitational, defeating Morrisville State in straight sets, before downing the host Bears in four.
Buffalo State ripped Morrisville, 25-15, 25-21 and 25-17 in the first match.
Sherrell McLean (Buffalo/City Honors) had a Bengal-best nine kills, and
Stephanie Kazmierczak (Buffalo/City Honors) registered 27 assists.
Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) chipped in nine digs in the winning effort.
The Bengals got off to a sluggish start against Potsdam, but rebounded to win three straight sets, claiming victory, 25-27, 27-25, 25-20 and 25-14.
Allyson Pierce (Olcott/Newfane) had 13 kills, Kazmierczak dished out 36 assists with three aces, and Moore had 13 digs.
Pierce was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Buffalo State will open its home schedule on Tuesday against Medaille at 7 p.m.
