FREDONIA, NY--Fredonia (2-5/1-0) scored the first four goals of the game and held on, doubling up visiting Buffalo State (2-5/0-1), 6-3, tonight in the SUNYAC opener for both teams.

Thomas Karanas (Tonawanda/Tonawanda), Wilfred Valerio (Bronx/Bronx Academy of Letters), and Shaun Winter (Grand Island/Grand Island) all scored for Buffalo State in the second half, but it was too little, too late.

Fredonia outshot Buffalo State 23-10, but the Bengals had a 9-1 advantage on corner kicks. The teams combined for 29 fouls.

Buffalo State has surrendered 20 goals in four-consecutive losses. The Bengals will look to get back on track at New Paltz on Friday at 4 p.m.
