BUFFALO, NY—Frank Salituro scored at the 2:24 mark of the extra period to give Hobart (9-4-1) a 2-1 overtime victory over host Buffalo State (6-7-2) in a non-conference game tonight at the Ice Arena.

Nicholas Petriello (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) scored the Bengals lone goal, while Mike Zanella (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) and Drew Klin (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) each tallied an assist.

Hobart opened the scoring halfway through the second stanza, but Buffalo State tied it with less than a minute to play to make it a 1-1 game after two. Neither team could find the net in the third, forcing overtime period.

Buffalo State finished with a 25-24 advantage in shots, but was unable to get a shot in the extra stanza, while the Statesmen managed two. Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) had 22 saves in the loss.

Buffalo State will host Johnson & Wales Friday at 7 p.m. in the first of a two-game set.
