BUFFALO, NY-- Chris Cartwright (Binghamton/Binghamton) netted a game-high 24 points and Buffalo State (7-4/2-3) raced past visiting Fredonia (4-7/1-4), 75-54, in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Sports Arena.

Justin Mitchell (Buffalo/Timon) bolstered the Bengals' attack with 16 points. Glenroy Carr (New York/Sweet Home) added 12 points, and freshman Nico McLean (Amherst/Amherst) tallied a career-high 10 points.

Buffalo State led 31-25 at the half, and pulled away with a 25-4 run and held Fredonia without a field goal for just under 10 minutes to open the second period. The Bengals converted 25 Fredonia turnovers into 28 points and held an 18-4 advantage in second-chance points.

Buffalo State will return to action at home next Tuesday against Geneseo at 8 p.m.
