ONEONTA, NY—Oneonta (4-7/3-1) shot 51-percent from the field and overcame an early 9-0 deficit to defeat visiting Buffalo State (6-4/1-3), 86-70, this afternoon in a SUNYAC contest.

Chris Cartwright (Binghamton/Binghamton) led Buffalo State with 27 points. Jake Simmons (Rochester/School for the Arts) added 16 points and three steals, and Glenroy Carr (New York/Sweet Home) added 10 points.

After a fast start by Buffalo State, the home team took control and never trailed in the second half. Oneonta owned the glass, outrebounding Buffalo State, 48-28.

Buffalo State will next host Fredonia on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
