BROCKPORT, NY—Buffalo State (12-18/4-2) suffered its first two conference losses of the season today, dropping decisions to Fredonia (19-10/5-1) and Geneseo (15-15/4-2) in the second round of SUNYAC Pool Play hosted by Brockport.

Geneseo topped the Bengals in the opening match, 25-21, 25-23, 22-25 and 25-23.  Sam Parente (E. Patchogue/E. Patchogue) had12 kills and four blocks to lead Buffalo State.  Kelsey Bashore (Antwerp, OH/Antwerp) had 37 assists, and Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) added 23 digs.

Fredonia swept Buffalo State in the late match, 25-21, 25-14 and 25-22.  Parente led the offense for the Bengals again with seven kills, while Bashore dished out 20 assists and had 10 digs, and Moore pitched in 15 digs.

Buffalo State will wrap up the SUNYAC regular season tomorrow with matches against Brockport and Oswego.
