BROCKPORT, NY—Buffalo State (14-18/6-2) earned a pair of straight-set victories today to wrap up the SUNYAC regular season as the No. 2 seed in the West, sweeping host Brockport and Oswego.

The Bengals clawed past Brockport in the morning match, winning 25-14, 25-22 and 27-25.   Sam Parente (E. Patchogue/E. Patchogue) paced the offense with 10 kills, and Allyson Pierce (Olcott/Newfane) added eight kills and three blocks.  Kelsey Bashore (Antwerp, OH/Antwerp) had 23 assists, and Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) had a team-best 19 digs.

The Bengals made short work of Oswego in the afternoon match, claiming victory, 25-13, 25-9 and 25-23.  Parente had 18 kills, while Mary Naboi (Syracuse/Nottingham) and Sherrell McLean (Buffalo/City Honors) added 13 and 11 respectively.  Moore added 15 digs and three aces, and Bashore had 31 assists and 13 digs.

Buffalo State clinched the second seed in the SUNYAC West division and will open the playoffs against the No. 3 seed in the East Oneonta on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. at Cortland. 

The Bengals next match in Wednesday at home against Pitt-Bradford at 7 p.m.  It will be the team's “Dig Pink” match.
